CELL SALTS

What are Cell Salts?

In the early nineteenth century, a German medical doctor and homeopath named Wilhelm Schuessler identified from cremated ashes 12 minerals in every human cell. He named his discovery “Biochemistry” and called them Tissue Salts or Cell Salts. They are inorganic mineral substances found in rocks and soil then energized by mixing with lactose powder (triturated) in order to obtain the desired potency.

Cell Salts are made the same way as Homeopathic Remedies but are NOT homeopathic. Homeopathy is administered by the “law of similarity” and Cell Salts are administered by the “law of mineral deficiencies”.  As a result of the trituration (mixing) process Cell Salts are easily absorbed by penetrating through the cell wall. Dr. Schuessler found that if the body is missing any of the 12 basic minerals, loss of health WILL occur. However, if the deficiency is corrected, health WILL follow. Before any condition can manifest, there is first a deficiency. In most cases, many deficiencies.

Additional minerals discovered since Dr. Scheussler's work

Total minerals we know about to date

Dr. Schuessler died in 1898 and The Biochemical Associations in Europe continued his work and over the years these associations have discovered 15 additional minerals (Cell Salts) which supports the first 12.

Dr. Schuessler’s successors also discovered that mineral deficiencies also have psychosomatic links; meaning, certain human behavior patterns provoke specific deficiencies and vice versa certain mineral deficiencies can provoke human behavior.

Cell Salts are safe and do not conflict with other medications which means babies, small children and even animals can take them with complete safety.

Macro vs. Micro Nutrients
The source of the minerals and how they are made is the key.

There is an important distinction between Cell Salts, food and food supplements (Vitamins etc). Cell Salts are minerals (found in rocks, soil, etc) triturated and energized into very tiny particles, therefore, they count as Micro molecules that are absorbed by the mucous membranes to the blood stream directly into the cells. The source of the minerals and how they are made is the key.

Food and food supplements count as Macro, because they are large particles that need to be broken down by digestion and assimilation for bioavailability. The body needs the presence of micro molecules (Cell Salts) or the nutrients cannot be fully absorbed or used, which opens the door to malnutrition and illness.

Each Cell Salt has a very specific function to support optimal health.  Some are builders that strengthens the tissues, organs and immune system while others are eliminators that removes toxins.  Numbers 1-12 are the basic Cell Salts and Numbers 15-27 support the first 12.
